OTHMAN
Jakarta, and a roll of fabric that will not be woven again.
OTHMAN builds from factory deadstock: the surplus a mill or a garment factory is left holding when a production run ends. The roll is finite, so the run is finite. When a fabric is finished it is not reordered and the piece is not made a second time — which is why sizes here are counted rather than restocked.
Founded by Dimboy, a visual communication designer, and Oby Reza, an economist. The label took the Fashion Force Award for Most Innovative Ready-to-Wear in 2024, and keeps two stores in Jakarta — at Pondok Indah Mall 2 and Plaza Senayan.
The cut is contemporary oversize: room through the body, weight in the drape, jacquards and textured weaves that read quiet at a distance and complicated up close.
Made in Indonesia. Brought to Singapore by landnpop, on pre-order.
